Vivita Zuzule
Exhibition "My Transformations"
The exhibition will feature paintings painted on oil for many years, in which the artist plays with color, shape and symbols, showing the feelings and emotional state of the moment. The artist likes to focus on different genres of painting art: landscape, still life, portrait, not changing the means of artistic expression.
The artist's paintings are reflections of her soul, in which she reflects her inner experiences, adventures, self-seeking and many dialogues with herself, which helps to better understand the world around her.
In her painting, the artist focuses on exploring the feminine essence and searching for symbols, reflecting on various images of women in which the artist turns and sees a similarity with herself. For her works, the artist says: "In my paintings I can turn into anything - a famous singer or actress, a lost shoe or a girl from an ancient African tribe, or my daughter."
The artist likes symbolism, so she is looking for the relationships that match the artist's life.
The artist's paintings include both retrospective memories and impressions of the moment. Anyone who will look at the artist's paintings, perhaps, will also be influenced by his life experience and will only see what he knows and experiences.
The artist believes that man will be eternally alive if he leaves the spiritual continuation of his physical end - existence.
Vivita Zuzule was born in Jurmala in 1960. The artist says: "As far as I can remember myself, my childhood was in the world of color and fantasy, my sixth finger was my trusted brush or pencil.
Direction and interest in art was inspired by the great library of art and culture history books and numerous art exhibitions, admiring the most outstanding Latvian artists.”
Graduating from high school, the path to art continued in private artist studios with prominent artists: V. Bush, A. Bromults, A. Plaudis, G. Binde. All these artists gave the young artist an impulse to join the Latvian Academy of Art, which he graduated in the late 1980s, completing the Department of Pedagogy at the Latvian Academy of Arts.
The first work experience related to art, the artist worked in Jurmala as an artist/designer, later worked in Riga's Main Architectural Office, as well as in Jūrmala Pumpuri Secondary School as a visual art teacher.
The first personal exhibition took place in 2003 in Jurmala, at the Luda Berzins Museum.
The artist is fascinated by work with children, has been leading the art studio for many years in Riga.
