Dear Artists, Participants of GRATA BALVA 2026, Friends and Partners of MuseumLV Gallery,

It has been a month since the GRATA BALVA 2026 exhibition opened its doors on 11 June. Since then, your submitted artworks have taken on a life of their own within the gallery, forming a rich and multifaceted narrative about what the Other might mean in the urban environment and how we might imagine an encounter with it.

At the same time, once brought together in the gallery space, your works begin to engage in dialogue with one another—creating moments of synergy and, at times, even productive disagreement. They challenge both artists and visitors to reconsider their own works as well as the interpretations offered by fellow participants.

The MuseumLV Gallery team warmly invites you and your colleagues to visit the exhibition and join a guided tour led by the curator, Dr. Deniss Hanovs. This is an opportunity to discover the works of fellow artists and perhaps see your own work transformed through a new curatorial context.
