“IT KĀ MUMS NEBŪTU, NO KĀ BAIDĪTIES”,
kuru vadīs projekta autori Zoja Golubeva un Deniss Evins, piedaloties arī izstādes kuratoram Denisam Hanovam.

Šoreiz apmeklētāji varēs paši izvēlēties ekskursijas formātu — doties cauri ekspozīcijai kopā ar māksliniekiem vai pievienoties kuratora vadītai ekskursijai, lai dzirdētu atšķirīgus skatījumus uz projektu un tā interpretāciju. Viesiem būs iespēja padziļināti iepazīt izstādes koncepciju, autoru radošo praksi un pārrunāt bailes kā vienu no mūsdienu cilvēka būtiskākajiem pieredzes stāvokļiem.

Par izstādi

Izstāde pēta bailes kā fundamentālu mūsdienu pieredzi — no tikko sajūtama iekšēja impulsa līdz trauksmei, kas saistīta ar pasaules nestabilitāti un personīgām traumām. Šeit bailes tiek aplūkotas ne tikai kā destruktīvs spēks, bet arī kā apstāšanās punkts — iespēja palūkoties uz sevi no malas.

Deniss Evins savos darbos apvieno digitālās tehnoloģijas, spoguļkonstrukcijas un organiskas formas, radot ievainojamības un vientulības tēlus. Zojas Golubevas glezniecība, atsaucoties uz baroka tradīciju, atklāj iekšējās tumsas, izmisuma un eksistenciālas trauksmes tēmas caur personiskiem un intīmiem sižetiem.

Par negaidītu projekta līdzautori kļuva daba — meža sēņu organiskās struktūras ietekmēja izstādes vizuālo valodu, sasaistot tēlus ar atmiņām, aizmirstiem stāstiem un bezapziņu.

Izstāde ir atvērta skatītāju interpretācijām un aicina ne tikai ieraudzīt cita bailes, bet arī ieklausīties savējās — uzdodot jautājumu par patiesas satikšanās iespējamību ar otru un ar sevi pašu.

We are pleased to announce an additional guided tour of the exhibition
“AS IF WE HAD NOTHING TO FEAR”,
led by the project’s authors Zoja Golubeva and Deniss Evins, with the participation of the exhibition’s curator, Deniss Hanovs.

This time, visitors will be able to choose their preferred format — to walk through the exhibition with the artists or join a tour led by the curator, gaining different perspectives on the project and its interpretation. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition’s concept in greater depth, learn more about the artists’ creative practices, and reflect on fear as one of the defining conditions of contemporary human experience.

About the exhibition

The exhibition explores fear as a fundamental condition of contemporary life — from a barely perceptible inner impulse to anxiety shaped by global instability and personal trauma. Here, fear is viewed not only as a destructive force, but also as a moment of pause — an opportunity to step back and look at oneself from a distance.

In his works, Deniss Evins combines digital technologies, mirrored constructions, and organic forms to create images of vulnerability and solitude. Zoja Golubeva’s paintings, drawing on the Baroque tradition, address themes of inner darkness, despair, and existential anxiety through personal and intimate narratives.

Nature became an unexpected co-author of the project: the organic structures of forest fungi influenced the exhibition’s visual language, linking the imagery with memory, forgotten stories, and the unconscious.

Open to interpretation, the exhibition invites viewers not only to confront the fears of others, but also to listen to their own — posing the question of whether a genuine encounter, with another and with oneself, is truly possible.
