On August 4, an art object "I" was installed in front of the entrance to the MuseumLV Gallery of the GRATA JJ Cultural Center, which is part of a large-scale project of two authors - Julia Eresko and Janis Straume - Brolišs called "Towards the Light".
The project "UZ GAISMU" will remind our contemporaries of the inner light that can create and change the world for the better. The authors create objects that are not tied to time or specific events, they are dedicated to phenomena, the movement of thought and observations of modern society. The number of images, the place of their origin and the life span of the objects are not limited by time frames and depend only on the authors' desire to convey their creative statement to the viewers. What is a human being? In July 2012, CERN scientists announced that they had succeeded in discovering a new subatomic particle, a possible "Higgs boson" or "God particle" that, according to the Standard Model of physics, created the universe. This unstable subatomic particle creates, holds and changes everything that exists in the known world to man. But if we step back from theory and look at existence and interaction from a metaphysical perspective, we are all an interaction of soul energies. And the soul is light, it is the energies created by our emotions, desires, aspirations, anxieties, beliefs, faith. Each of us has our own vibration, our own light, our own influence on the world. In the search for our objects, find your inner light.


Object #I

The composition is located at the entrance of the MuseumLV art gallery of the GRATA JJ Cultural Center and features two figures made of neon light and metal fixed above the ground at a height of 2.6 meters.

The light of our nation is shaped by our feelings, knowledge and culture, its heritage and our attitude towards it. The beautiful language of poetry and literary works, our customs and traditions passed down from generation to generation, our talents for song and dance, which we have been developing and showcasing at the Song and Dance Festival for 150 years, are rooted in our hearts. This is what we rely on in our daily lives, what we cherish and cherish, what creates us, making us feel strong and united, perhaps without even realizing that this is the source of the light of our soul.
It is this light that shines so brightly in our souls, it seeks to find and unite with those who form the same energy within ourselves. This story is about us, about the invisible and the non-material in our daily lives. In search of our objects find your inner light.


Object #II

The composition "Spirit of Creativity" is integrated into the exposition of the Jurmala Open Air Museum as part of the competition exhibition of the Biennale "Marīna 2023" of the Jurmala City Museum and consists of 4 light objects.
