From June 14 to June 28, 2019, thanks to the art gallery of Museum Grata JJ MuseumLV, at 5 Ausekļa Street you can see Kristīne Kutepova's solo exhibition "Fixations of Consciousness".

Art Academy of Latvia department of Painting MA graduate student Kristine Kutepova is receiver of The Boris and Ināra Teterev Foundation ar grant. Solo show "Fixations of Consciousness" is Kristine's diploma work, concluding her studies at the Art Academy of Latvia.

The essence of the fixation of consciousness is to let the processes of the inner impulses lead to the creation of art, thus capturing its reality, which is passed on to the audience.

In the series of paintings you can see paintings that encouraged to cross over 400º C of hot coal, and paintings that revealed the secrets of India. Some paintings are inspired by the literature. In total, 16 works have been exhibited in the exhibition as a peculiar version of artist’s diary.

The artist will be present in the gallery everyday, allowing the visitors of the exhibition to look at the creative process - to see in person how a new idea arises, how new techniques emerge.

Kristīne Kutepova's master classes in various techniques of painting, textiles and graphics will take place every day. Viewers will be given the opportunity to create their own artwork, or to indulge in observation of creative process - one of the nicest activities in the art process!
