Nugzar Paksadze

Nugzar Paksadze was born on May 20, 1953 in Georgia. Since 1982 he has commited his life and creative career to Latvia.
Living on the shore of the Gulf of Riga has given him the opportunity for collaboration with other painters, not only in Tukums, but also in Jurmala.
Nugzar worked also with artitst from Latgale, Belarus and Lithuania.
At the plenairs of Preili, Daugavpils, Rezekne and Kraslava, Nugzar is welcomed every year almost as an honorary member due to his enthusiastic and friendly nature. Nugzar also collaborated with Mark Rothko Center in Daugavpils.
Since 2011, he has been organizing annual international plenairs in Tervete. Representatives from Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Germany and Balkan countries worked and rested in beautiful Latvian countryside so suitable for artists. Beautiful catalogs document the work over the summer. As a result of international cooperation, Nugzar's paintings are located in Austria, Germany, Sweden, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus. They are housed in museum exhibitions and private collections.
In his homeland Nugzar is an honorary member of the Adjara Artists' Union.
In September 2019 he received Jazeps Pigoznis Award in Latvian landscape painting.
The artist regularly participates in exhibitions in Latvia and abroad. His artwork was presented at numerous personal exhibitions:
