Ramona Pēkšēna

Ramona Pēkšēna is an artist of glass industry. Her characteristic feature is the quest for innovation combining artistic processing techniques of glass. When creating her own individual signature she gains her inspiration in the aesthetics of European cultural heritage.

Works as an active artist in a private art shop in Riga.

1993 – 1993 - Attended Riga Secondary School of Applied Arts.
1996 - 2004 - Attended the Art Academy of Latvia, Department of GlasArts .
2004 - Master Degree, received at the Department of Glass Art, the Art Academy of Latvia.

Participates in exhibitions since 1996.
2007 - The first personal exhibition Svētums (Holiness), Art Gallery of Glass in Riga, Latvia.
2009 - The second personal exhibition Izmaiņas ir iespējamas (Changes are possible), Art Gallery Asūna in Riga, Latvia.
2013 - Participation in the exhibition Māksla no Latvijas (Art from Latvia), Katowice – Museum of Slaska, Poland.
2015 - A joint exhibition together with a designer Margarita Budze LUX. Art Gallery Asūna in Riga, Latvia.
2014 - International glass art exhibition 2D, Vilnius, Lithuania.
2016 - International glass art exhibition 3D, Vilnius, Lithuania.
Participates at exhibitions and projects organized by a local group of artists Kokons (Cocoon).
